Easily export data into fully customizable PowerPoint templates. Ensure your presentations are always up-to-date and perfectly aligned with your organization's branding and presentation standards.
The ITONICS Innovation OS allows you to upload your PowerPoint templates with your styles, branding, and flow. It also allows you to export content from the ITONICS Innovation OS into those PowerPoint presentations and use the content for audience-tailored communication.
Configure mappings and upload your PPT template
First, you need to define your PowerPoint template.
When your PPT template is ready, you need to synchronize the template elements with the ITONICS Innovation OS properties.
To configure the mapping, go to the Element Configuration of your workspace. Go to the Element Type you want to set up the PowerPoint export for and click on Enable PowerPoint (1).
The synchronization between the Element Type and the PowerPoint template works with PowerPoint markup. On the PPT configuration page in ITONICS, you will find mappings configured for the ITONICS properties and a respective PowerPoint Markup.
Click 'Copy markup' for the property you want to export to your PowerPoint template. (2)
Add the PowerPoint markups to the Alt Text of a PowerPoint text box. To enter the Alt Text, click right on a shape or text box. From the menu, you should be able to find "Show Alt Text" or go to the tab Shape Format (3). Click on Alt Text in the top bar (4).
This will open a new panel on the right-hand side. You can paste your markup into the Alt Text field (5). Once you have successfully copied all the markups, you can upload your PowerPoint Template to the Element Type (6). You should see green checkmarks (7) for correctly identified mappings.
You can also download the template again in case you want to update mappings in the future (8).Exporting content as PPT
You will find the option to export content as PPT on every single content card. Click on the three dots in the header (9). Click on Export as PowerPoint (10). The download will start automatically.
When you have view permission for a content element, you will be able to download the information as a PPT.
Please note:
- There is currently no bulk export. You can only export PowerPoint Slides per one content element.
- Rich Text Editor (RTE) formatting is removed during export.
- Relations, Attachments, and Units of Number Fields are not included in exports.
- Only the lowest level of Hierarchical Dropdowns is exported.
- Exporting Element Types with Workflow Blueprints is currently unsupported, including the current phase.
